The English Tongue
Hitch onto Sarah-Louise Young for a journey through some of the greatest 20th century English-language songs. From witty word-smiths, Noel Coward and Tom Lehrer, to musical theatre giants, Stephen Sondheim and Oscar Hammerstein II, she presents a selection of songs and the stories behind them. She also performs her own songs and shares how these writers influence her own songs.
Sarah-Louise Young, a stage and TV actress, singer and writer, has made a name for herself on the London and international cabaret circuits, performing at the prestigious Adelaide Cabaret Festival and taking her award winning solo shows to Edinburgh, New York, Berlin and London. She is currently enjoying a West End run of Julie Madly Deeply, before taking it on a national tour.
