An Evening Of Cantonese Oldies (80‘广东好歌之夜)
The 1980s was the golden age of Canto pop, and the four Hong Kong stars who shone most during that period were none other than Alan Tam, Leslie Cheung, Danny Chan and Anita Mui. They have all spawned numerous classic hits that won many hearts and reigned over time, but the vibrant performance and presence of Leslie, Danny and Anita have been sorely missed since their demise.
Now, we have Wing, our own local Cantonese songstress presenting a tribute to these everlasting stars. Wing was a backing vocalist for Dama Orchestra's production of I Have a Date with Spring, and won numerous awards in singing competitions. She was even dubbed the "Joey Yung of Malaysia" by Joey Yung herself after winning a singing competition, and Wing is also often referred to as the "Sammi Cheng of Malaysia" for her love and resemblance of technique to Sammi Cheng.
