Some of the innovative collaborative music making - together with Ernest Chin on the piano and Tee Jun Hui on the erhu - can be heard from pieces such as 袖梦 Dream Sleeves (guzheng), 河南小曲 Tune From He-Nan (guzheng & erhu), 落花飞 Circle of Falling Flowers (guzheng and vocal), 婵歌 Enchanted Melody (guzheng & piano), 蕉窗夜雨 Rain All Night (guzheng & percussion). Other repertoire pieces include a Jay Chou Medley, 烟花易冷 Shadow of Sparks, and 红尘客栈 The Mortal Tavern.
XiYing is currently pursuing her Masters Degree in GuZheng Music Performance (under the Beijing Government Scholarship) at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, under the tutelage of Associate Professor Ji Wei. She has graduated earlier with a degree in Gu Zheng at the same institution under a full scholarship provided by the China Scholarship Council.
